*THREE-PILLAR SYNERGY: PRESISI MERDEKA RUN 2026 IN JAMBI SUCCESSFULLY HELD, THOUSANDS OF PARTICIPANTS JOIN NATIONAL EVENT*

*JAMBI* – The Presisi Merdeka Run (PMR) 2026 Jambi was successfully held at Garuda Field, Jambi Governor’s Office, on Sunday (August 9, 2026). The national-scale sporting event was lively and attended by approximately 12,000 participants and visitors from various regions.

The event was attended by Jambi Governor Dr. H. Al Haris, http://S.Sos., M.H., Jambi DPRD Chairman M. Hafiz Fattah, Jambi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Krisno H. Siregar, S.I.K., M.H., 042/Gapu Military Resort Commander Brigadier General TNI Nyamin, S.I.P., M.M., Jambi High Prosecutor Sugeng Hariadi, S.H., M.H., Head of the Jambi High Court Y.M. Dr. Marsudin Nainggolan, S.H., M.H., along with other members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum and heads of vertical agencies.

Also present were Jambi BIN Regional Head Air Commodore TNI Dwiana Pilihanto, S.T., M.M., Head of Jambi BNNP Brigadier General Pol. Asep Saepudin, S.I.K., Deputy Jambi Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Pol. Benny Ali, S.I.K., S.H., Regents/Mayors from across Jambi Province or their representatives, Main Officials of Jambi Regional Police, Heads of Provincial OPDs, VVIP guests of PMR 2026, as well as the public and participants from various regions.

The event began early in the morning. At 05:30 WIB, participants of the 21K, 10K, and 5K categories were flagged off to run along the designated routes.

The atmosphere became even more festive with a performance by national singer Marcello Tahitoe (Ello), followed by the announcement and awarding of medals and coaching prizes to the fastest male and female runners in the 21K, 10K, and 5K categories.

The excitement continued with the Presisi Merdeka Run 2026 door prize draw, and the event was closed with a musical performance by Silet Open Up (SOU).

Jambi Regional Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Krisno H. Siregar expressed his appreciation to all parties who supported the successful implementation of PMR 2026.

“Alhamdulillah, during the event no participants had to be taken to the hospital. Overall, the activity ran smoothly, safely, and in an orderly manner,” said the Jambi Police Chief.

According to the Jambi Police Chief, PMR 2026 was not only attended by people from Jambi Province. Participants also came from various other regions, including East Kalimantan, Bandung, West Sumatra, and several other cities.

“This shows that Presisi Merdeka Run has appeal and is able to become an event that brings together communities and sports communities from different regions. In the future, this activity will continue to be held and we hope it can become an annual agenda in Jambi Province,” he explained.

The Jambi Police Chief also expressed his pride in the enthusiasm of Jambi’s young generation who took part in the event.

“We are proud to see the enthusiasm and spirit of Jambi’s young talents. With proper and continuous coaching, I am confident that Jambi’s youth can grow into a better and more accomplished generation,” he said.

Furthermore, the Police Chief emphasized that Presisi Merdeka Run is not just a sports event, but also part of the effort to bring the Indonesian National Police closer to the community.

“Presisi Merdeka Run is not only a sports event, but also a form of the Police’s presence among the people. The success of this event is inseparable from the support of all parties, especially the Jambi Provincial Government, the committee, communities, participants, and the entire public,” he said.

The Police Chief assessed that the implementation of PMR 2026 is proof that Jambi Province is capable of hosting a national-scale event.

“This is something to be proud of for all of us. Jambi Province has proven that we are able to host a national-scale event. Hopefully this activity can have a positive impact and bring Jambi to be better in the future,” he said.

In addition to the sports aspect, the event is also expected to have an impact on the community’s economy. The sport tourism concept is considered capable of attracting communities and participants from various regions to come to Jambi.

“In terms of the economy, events like this also have a positive impact on the community, especially in Jambi City. The sport tourism concept opens opportunities for the public and business actors, because sports communities from various regions will seek out and participate in events held in our region,” the Police Chief explained.

As the Jambi Police Chief and one of the initiators of the event, he called on all communities to continue building Jambi’s readiness as a host for various national events.

“I urge all communities that Jambi must be ready to host various national events. We must show that Jambi is capable of being a safe, comfortable region that is ready to welcome people from various regions,” he asserted.

The Police Chief also conveyed his apologies to the public if during the implementation of PMR 2026 there were any disruptions to community activities, especially related to traffic management and the use of event routes.

“I apologize to the public if during the event there were disruptions to activities, especially regarding traffic management and the use of routes. To the public, including street vendors, we also express our gratitude for your understanding and cooperation during the event,” he said.

At the end of his statement, the Jambi Police Chief expressed his appreciation to all personnel and the committee who had worked hard to prepare and secure the implementation of PMR 2026.

“I would like to thank all Jambi Regional Police staff, the committee, on-site personnel, and all parties who have worked hard to prepare and carry out this event so that it could run well, safely, and smoothly. Thank you, and I apologize if there were any shortcomings or mistakes during the implementation of the event,” he concluded.
